Transparency & Frequently Asked Questions
-
Over many years, doctors have regularly asked us for trusted recommendations outside medicine, including finance, insurance, property, legal services, travel and practice management. Rather than making informal recommendations one conversation at a time, Physician Plus was created to identify and negotiate exceptional opportunities that can benefit the wider medical community.
-
No. Membership is entirely free, and there is no obligation to participate in any opportunity. You simply receive information about opportunities that may be relevant to you.
-
Every organisation undergoes careful review before being introduced to our community.
We generally look for partners that:
provide genuine value to doctors
have an outstanding reputation
offer exclusive benefits or significant savings that are not readily available elsewhere
understand the unique needs of medical professionals
If we would not confidently recommend them to our own colleagues, they will not become a Physician Plus partner.
-
Sometimes. Some partnerships involve no commercial arrangement whatsoever. Others involve a fee paid by the partner organisation to Physician Central to support the ongoing operation and growth of Physician Plus. Where a commercial arrangement exists, it will always be disclosed alongside the relevant opportunity before you decide whether to participate.
-
No. Doctors are never charged commissions or referral fees by Physician Central. Any commercial arrangements are with the partner organisation and are separate to your transaction.
-
Generally, no. If any material ownership interest or similar financial relationship were ever to exist in relation to a promoted opportunity, it would be clearly disclosed.
-
No. Commercial arrangements do not determine inclusion. Quality, value and trust come first.
Our reputation depends on recommending organisations we genuinely believe provide exceptional value to doctors.
If a commercial arrangement would compromise that standard, we simply won’t proceed.
-
No. Physician Plus introduces opportunities that may be relevant to doctors but does not provide personal financial, legal, taxation or investment advice.
We strongly encourage members to obtain independent advice before making important decisions.
-
Absolutely. You may unsubscribe from Physician Plus communications at any time while continuing to receive Physician Central educational updates.
-
Because recommendations are only valuable if they are selective. Our goal is not to create a directory of providers.
Our goal is to identify a small number of organisations that genuinely stand out in terms of quality, value and relevance for doctors.
-
We recognise that trust depends on transparency. Where a commercial relationship exists with a Physician Plus partner, that relationship will always be disclosed before you decide whether to engage. Importantly, we do not promote clinical referrals, medications, medical devices or services relating to patient care.
Our recommendations focus on products and services that support doctors personally or professionally outside the clinical setting.
